JERUSALEM—Adiel Coleman, a father of four murdered by a terrorist in Jerusalem’s Old City late Sunday afternoon after leaving work as a security guard at the archeological digs in the City of David, was laid to rest on Monday in his hometown village of Kochav HaShachar in northern Samaria.
Shortly before 5 p.m., the terrorist, identified as 28-year-old Abd al-Rahman Bani Fadel, walked up to Coleman, 32, and stabbed him repeatedly in the upper body, critically wounding him.
Medics rushed into the narrow cobblestone streets of the Old City and carried out the victim on a stretcher before he was rushed by ambulance to Shaarei Tzedek Medical Center, where he died of his wounds. Police shot and killed the terrorist at the scene.
Coleman was described by colleagues at the City of David site as “a dedicated and loyal worker, a beloved staff member and a model family man.”
Thousands gathered at Kolman’s funeral. “You finished your mission in this world, and G‑d, may His name be blessed, took you too quickly, too painfully for us,” said the victim’s mother.
Coleman is survived by his wife, Ayalet, and their four children.
Poor Coleman he didn't deserve to die like that. When will this hatred end? It is sad that we have to live in fear of these terrorists. Not knowing what they may try next to wipe out Christians and Jews. Hopefully one day there will be peace on earth. Sadly it's probably never gonna happen in my life time.Especially since in some western countries there is even sympathy for extremist radical Muslims. Look at Malmo ,Sweden it is now such a scary place.
