One-year-old Rivka Koncepolski, the child of Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries in São Paulo, Brazil, passed away on Jan. 7 after a tragic accident.
Her parents, Rabbi Menachem Mendel and Dvora Lea Koncepolski, are Chabad emissaries in São Paolo, where the rabbi is the administrator of Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch Ohel Menachem, whose Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Shamai Ende, is Dvora Lea Koncepolski’s father.
Rabbi Koncepolski is also a certified EMT and founding member of Hatzala of Brazil, a volunteer life-saving organization.
The Koncepolski family will be sitting shiva until Monday morning, Jan. 13, at Almeda Franca 1314, Apt. 61, Jardim Paulista, São Paulo, SP 01422-001 Brazil. Visiting hours are 10 a.m. to noon and 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Condolences may be sent through Chabad of S. Paulo here.
Just two days after her passing, the Koncepolski and Ende families have begun the writing of Rivkah’s Torah. When complete, the Torah scroll will be placed at Yeshiva Lubavitch and will serve as an eternal legacy for a life cut short far too soon.
Those wishing to participate in the writing of the Torah scroll can do so here.
